Venogram shows gastric varix and inferior phrenic vein Embolization of the inferior phrenic vein with multiple coils and infused sclerosant into the varix F/U plain abdomen shows uptake of sclerosant into the gastric varix


Three months F/U CT shows chronic portal vein thrombosis (arrows) with cavernous transformation gastric varixis no longer seen with uptake of lipidol in the gastrorenal shunt gastric varixis no longer seen with uptake of lipidol in the gastrorenal shunt

Upper endoscopy 23 days after BRTO. Mucosal changes consistent with portal gastropathy(top figure) and non-bleeding gastric varices(bottom figure) are shown Upper endoscopy 64 days after BRTO. Gastric mucosa appears normal.
