CeloNova BioSciences Embozene® Microspheres have the tightest size distribution of any particle embolic product on the market. Precise calibration means that each prefilled syringe and vial of Embozene® Microspheres contains microspheres that are consistently the same size, which enables targeted embolization.

Precise calibration:

• Reduces the risk of untargeted embolization
• Provides tighter tolerances compared to other embolics (± 50 v. ± 100 for most sizes)
• Allows for a broad range of specific sphere sizes (40 µm - 1300 µm)

Embozene® Microspheres are designed to regain their original shape and volume after passage through the catheter, without fracture, therefore maintaining the benefits of precise calibration.

• Pass easily through catheters and microcatheters without clumping or clogging.
• Inject smoothly directly from the prefilled syringe or three-way stopcock.
• Rebound immediately to spherical shape for an effective mechanical occlusion.

Embozene® Microspheres offer a suspension that can be customized to meet individual physician needs. Dependant upon the amount of contrast mixed with the product, suspension can be achieved quickly, or the durability of the suspension can be extended.

Embozene® Microspheres are composed of a hydrogel core and feature a coating of CeloNova’s proprietary polymer, Polyzene®-F. Polyzene®-F is ultra-pure and highly biocompatible, and is shown to minimize inflammatory response.

Indications

Embozene® Microspheres are CE Marked for the embolization of hypervascularized tumors (HVT), arteriovenous malformations (AVM), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), bleeding and trauma, pre-operative reduction of bleeding, neurovascular and peripheral arteriovenous malformations, and tumors of the head, neck, torso and skeletal system.
